Busy week...

I left last Wednesday morning to head to New Boston to spend the week with my mom and go to my BFF's wedding in Dallas. I was planning on leaving Tuesday but we had a couple that wanted to come by and see the house so I had to get up early Wednesday morning in order to make it to NB by 1:00 because I had a hair appointment. Well I paid for my rushing around because I was about two hours from my moms when I saw the blue lights in the rear view...he didn't even think about giving me a warning and told me to sign here and slow down. I was trying to hold Mason back in the other seat so he wouldn't get him, if I knew how mean he was going to be I should have let Mason attack :)
I finally got to moms and rested about 30 minutes before going to get a straightener put in my hair...well they say you are really not supposed to get them when you are pregnant because your hair may act differently with all of the hormones, but I was not going to the wedding with crazy hair..ha! My hair didn't fall out but it burnt the mess out of my scalp which it usually does but not to this extent. It is getting much better though.
The next day was another busy one..I had a dentist appointment at 10:00, went and got nerf bars put on my truck at 11:00 and then had to meet my grandparents at 12:30 for lunch. I got all of that done and was glad to get to their house to sit and rest for a few hours. My cousin Devin and her kiddos came over and visited for a little bit and then I had to head to Texarkana to meet my mom to finish up our candy shopping for Amanda's wedding reception. We went and ate at one of my favorite restaurants in Texarkana, Lee's China..it hit the spot after a long day! We finished up what we could there and I went home and crashed.

My new step sides!!

We got up early the next morning and got everything together to head to Dallas. We stopped and ate lunch along the way and also stopped at another favorite place of mine Mary Puddin Hill...they have chocolate EVERYWHERE when you go in there...it was very tempting but we just got some suckers we were looking for to finish up the candy table took a sample and were back on the road. We got to the hotel and sat around for a bit before I had to get ready for the rehearsal dinner. It went well but my favorite part was stopping at the cheesecake factory and getting my next favorite dessert, red velvet cheesecake..it was so tasty, but I did share it with my mom :)
The next morning we went and ate breakfast and Le Madeline and it was delicious as always and then headed to the mall to just walk around to lose some of those pounds for the previous nights cheesecake and breakfast. Then we had to be in the bride to be's room at 1:30 to get all of our hair done, from there it was make-up, and then time to head to the church for pictures! Thank goodness for my mom, momma Jill, and Whittington who went to the reception site and help set up the candy table that I was in charge of...it turned out wonderful :) The night went by pretty fast and the wedding and bride were the most beautiful, magnificent thing I could have ever imagined!!
Candy Table :)

The next morning mom and I slept in a little before packing our bags and heading to Sprinkles to get some yummy cupcakes and eating some homemade cinnamon rolls before hitting the road back to New Boston. We got home and were super tired so mom cooked up some burgers and we went to bed super early. Monday I just laid in the recliner all day trying to get some homework done but my back hurt so bad it was very difficult to concentrate. Mom thought it would be a good idea for me to meet her up at track that night and walk two miles to get some exercise and see if it would help my back.
I got up early this morning and headed back to Houston, no ticket this time thankfully! I got here and unloaded my truck and was completely exhausted so Jason had worked graveyard last night was not objective to laying down and taking a 2 1/2 hour nap with me. I am feeling much better but could actually go back to bed any minute now. Hope you all had a great week and weekend!!!

80% Boy

Well we met with the high risk doctor yesterday to do some preliminary tests to make sure everything was okay. Everything was PERFECT, except for our little peanut stinker who decided that he didn't want to be disturb. First, we tried to get the sonogram and he was laid out on his back snoozing. She told me to go to the restroom and maybe that would relieve some pressure and he would begin to move around...Nope! Next, she said well maybe some chocolate will get him all sugared up and going so she brought me a twix and some m&m's...I hadn't had candy in probably 6 weeks so I don't think this did anything for him but I was on a sugar high, because once again he was just laying there kicking his little feet but he was not rolling over. Finally, she told me to walk around and see if we could get him to get up and about. Jason told her it was because he wasn't sure which way up was because his mother and him spend most of their time laying down :)

FINALLY...after a few paces he finally decided he was tired of that nurse banging on his moms belly and decided to turn so that she could get the measurements on the back of his neck that she needed. She said everything looks perfect and he is perfect as well!

Well...do you want to know what it is??

I say him this entire story, but we were just calling it "it" the entire time. She got the readings and said well do you want to know what you guys are having with an 80% chance..and you know we both said YES! She typed 80% on the screen and then right below it she typed BOY! Jason was grinning from ear to ear and I knew he was happy. I was all pumped for matching bows, dresses, and cute little shoes but I am thankful that he is healthy and there is still always that 20% there until we go back in four weeks for the 100% verdict :)

Sweet little name...

So far we have Jaxon Morris but no middle name picked out so far. We have talked about Peyton but it is still up in the air.

Here are the sonogram pictures to share with all of you!!!

It's a BOY...well 80% boy :)

His legs straight up in the air..ha!
Our sweet little baby boy..Isn't he so cute :) This is how he laid most of the sonogram, he was a sleepy boy!

What we have been up to.....

House...Well things have been kind of crazy around our house. After the dogs decided that the carpet would be their chew toy we had to decided to pull up the carpet and finish laying ceramic tile through out the living room. It was only a small space and is so much easier to clean now.
Here is the before picture

Here is the carpet all pulled up

Halfway done

FINISHED!

It is so much easier to clean now that it is tile all the way from the front door to the back. Mason is not very excited that when we leave them he has no carpet to lay on or eat his snacks, but he will survive :)

Last weekend was my BFF's bachelorette party. Clara picked me up from the airport and we did a little pre party shopping for snacks. Needless to say we went when we were starving, but we got all kinds of goodies. The four of us (Amanda, Rachel, Clara, and I) had a slumber party at Rachel's apartment that night and we had so much fun. I forgot how much I miss those girls until we get to spend the weekend together. We got up Saturday morning and met some of the girls at this nice little bistro for brunch..It was delicious! I didn't get any good pictures because I left my camera sitting on my kitchen table :( So I stole some from the others that took good pictures!
Here we all are on the roof top pool of the W hotel. It was really nice to be out in the pool and relax for a bit.

Eating at Jorge's, it was delicious but I ate WAY to much!

Picture in front of the W sign :)

The beautiful bride to be and I on our way out on the town! I was so very sad to leave there on Sunday morning. I miss hanging out with my BFF's so much and leaving them is hard but thankfully I will be heading back there in a few weeks for the BIG DAY!!!!

I hope everyone had a Happy Fourth of July weekend. We went to a pool party on Saturday and Jason has been working the rest of the weekend. I have just been resting and getting the house ready to hopefully put on the market to sell. We realized with Peanut on the way that we have ran out of room, and the dogs may be heading outside so we are in desperate need of a bigger back yard, so wish us luck!!!
