19 Weeks and Exhausted

Well this week was my first week back at school and oh how I am so ready for Friday at 3:30. I have had a pretty rough week with trying to get adjusted to the heat and having to run around and get all I need done with a child growing inside of me :) It is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be because my feet have decided to swell to the extreme. I don't know if it is my lack of activity during the summer mixed with this Houston weather or if I am really going to have cankles for the next four months?? :) My kiddos are really good this year and I am excited to get things going until I have to keep things going and plan on being out for 8-10 weeks for a sub...I am so dreading this part it kind of makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it :( I know it will all work out though.
Here is a a picture of my in my classroom on the first day of school!
Here is my 19 week picture..things have been pretty much the same besides my swollen feet and hands. (Sweet Zeus misses me since I went back to work, he doesn't leave my side once I get home.)
Proof that my feet are out of control LARGE! You can't even see where my ankles are anymore..I am having to wear flip flops around because I can't get my feet into any of my shoes.
These poor babies are not used to me being gone all day. I come home and immediately go to the couch to put my feet up and they lay in my lap..Mason on my left and Zeus on my right!

I have been so tired in the afternoons I have not even went down the street to get the mail...but what a suprise we got this afternoon when we had a BOX :) We love getting gifts in the mail and were so ready to get in the door and open it. I had a pretty rough day today and once I opened it and saw all of these cute outfits that Gigi (my mom) had sent to Lyla I just started crying. I loved every single one of them but this one was my favorite!
These cute little pants have ruffles on the bottom :)
Some cute summer outfits that she will be ready to wear to go see her Gigi right when we get out for summer break!!!
If I can make it through tomorrow and just get two FULL days to rest I will be so thankful. We just have had a lot going on here today, we found out Jason has to have surgery on his elbow because he has torn a ligament in it. Please keep him in your prayers that he will recover quickly and get back to work soon after. I know not to question things that happen in our lives so I will just once again turn this over to the Lord and let him take care of it as he does everything else. Hope everyone has had a great week. I know that I am still very blessed and thankful for this sweet child that God has blessed us with that is still growing big and strong and will be here before we know it.

Another Exciting, Busy, and Fun Week/Weekend

This was my first week back at work. We had teacher inservice all week and a lot of time to work in our rooms. Thank goodness my wonderful mom came in last Friday and set my room up because I really didn't have much to do..just the fun stuff like decorating :) I was pretty exhausted every afternoon when I got home but I always kept going and going and by bed time I was out. Which was a good thing I guess because I slept pretty well each night. I think by Wednesday when I got home I had some serious "cankles" going on. I knew then I had to take a seat and prop my feet up.
I had to clean up the house Thursday when I got home though because my brother and sister in law, Sharee and Danny, were coming into town and they got here super late Thursday night. I had to work on Friday but they came up to the school and brought me some yummy chick-fil-a for lunch. I had to stay there until 5:00 Friday because we had meet the teacher. We had a pretty good turn out. I think I met around 15 of my new students and they all seemed very sweet, so I am very excited to start the new year. Although for some reason I have butterflies in my stomach I guess because I know that I have so much coming up on my plate in the next 5 months with getting ready for the baby and getting a sub ready for my kiddos while I'm on maternity leave...yikes!!!
Speaking of getting ready for the baby...the bedding arrived this week!! We got the bed skirt, sheets, quilt, and bumper along with the diaper stacker, hamper and valance. The mobile is on back order but I did post a picture of it below. I think it is super cute and when we go pick the furniture up and get the room painted I think it will be fit for a princess :)

Bedding
Mobile..probable my favorite part of the bedding...I love the little birds!

Speaking of princess this little girl just doesn't even know how much fun her mom and aunt Sharee had shopping the tax free weekend and the outlet mall sales on Saturday. The boys decided to skip out on the shopping and go to the movies and hang out, but we did much better without them tagging along I think there is something about tax free that makes you shop until you drop...ha! I got some of the cutest outfits for my little peanut! We sure hope that doctor is right on her 99.9% because this baby is "pink" out! Here are some of the cute things I got her!

Jason wasn't as excited about this as I was :)

No little diva is set without hot pink zebra shoes!!

The rest of her cuteness already hanging in the closet!!! So ready for her to be here and get to wear them all.

My wonderful husband had been looking at gliders for the babies room and found this one, so we went ahead and got it. We set up in the living room until it's time to move it to Lyla's room. I love it, I just sat in it this afternoon imagining what it will be like to rock that sweet baby to sleep everyday! Since I did some all pink shopping Jason thought he needed to add his style into the mix this weekend. We all went to the bass bro shop on Sunday and this is what he found for his little baby girl. I think it is just as cute as the stuff I bought though. There is no doubt that she is going to be a country girl at heart!

I loved having Danny and Sharee come down and visit for the weekend. I love when Jason's family gets to come visit because he works so much he never gets to go home and I know he loves spending time with his brother. Sharee and I entertained ourselves pretty well also :) Well now it's time for me to really get it in gear. I have another work day tomorrow so I am going to try and get a lot accomplished because it's game time come 7:45 Tuesday morning!!!
Hope you all had a great weekend!!

Wonderful, Fabulous, Amazing Weekend!!!

Well this was a FULL weekend. I was so ready for Thursday I couldn't stand myself because my MOMMA was coming to town. She got here Thursday and we headed over to the daycare I had chosen and I wanted her and Jason's opinion on it before I made my final decision. They both thought it was really nice so I will probably go up there in a few weeks and secure the spot for starting first week of April 2011 if everything stays on track and I don't have a nervous break down and can't go back to work..ha!

Well Friday morning we were all up early getting ready for the BIG doctors appointment. We were getting the anatomy scan and were going to get to find out 100% what we were having. They had told us 4 weeks ago that it was 80% boy, and they usually don't get those wrong, but oh did they ever this time. We got there and the lady said well you see these three little lines and I couldn't believe my ears she said IT'S A GIRL!!!!! I was on cloud nine but you could tell Jason had already had his hopes up for that football/baseball playing, sitting in front of the TV on Sunday afternoons watching some ball games, but I told him that he can do all of those things with his sweet little girl :) So we are now putting Jaxon Cash back in the name bucket and going with Lyla Faith!!! Here are pictures of our sweet baby girl.

Sucking her thumb :) So sweet!

Profile picture!

It's a GIRL!!!

Her sweet little face!!! She is weighing right in at 17 weeks 1 day at 6 ounces!

After my doctors appointment mom and I headed up to the school to get my room in order for this year. I had left it such a mess at the end of the school year because I was feeling so bad with baby sickness that everything just got thrown in drawers and cabinets. To my surprise it actually was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. We worked pretty hard for about three hours and got everything done. I just have to go in there next week and do a few organizing paper work and such but we got my/student desks, computers, and a few other big things ready to roll for next week. I was SO thankful that my mom was here to help me, I don't know what I would have done without her. Jason has to come up to the school and help next week move two file cabinets out of my room that I don't want anymore but they have to be cleaned out first :) We came home and picked up Jason and went and had a delicious dinner at Texas Roadhouse..yummy! Then we came home and crashed!!!

Saturday was shopping day, but not before we spent two hours at the vet getting Mason fixed up. He was due his shots anyway but I guess he got something in his eye while he was at moms the last few days because it was swollen shut by Saturday morning. Poor baby got 4 shots, something up his nose and down his throat along with pills and drops for his eyes. He is much better today. (Just sad along with me that momma is gone.) I had two different furniture stores picked out that I thought we could find something at. The first place we didn't have much luck but by the second place we hit the jackpot. They had a crib that I loved and even better it and the changing pad were on SALE...even better!!! So after looking around and making our final decisions this is what we got!
Crib - it is dark espresso and is the 3-in-1 goes from crib to toddler bed, to full size! We even got a really nice mattress on sale that one side is the infant mattress and then you flip it for the toddler mattress and it has a lifetime warranty and some other neat features as well.
The changing table - It is kind of hard to see because it was behind another bed but it has drawers underneath the changing pad. Thought this would give us more room in there instead of getting a dresser also.

We looked for bedding all day but really didn't find the perfect one. Mom and I came home and got on the internet and started searching. Well, we found this one and I think it is SUPER cute. Gigi went ahead and made her first purchase for her sweet Lyla and ordered it for us. THANKS MOM!!! I will be able to get a better look once it arrives, but I think it is going to work out well.
Here it is...We got the bedding set, hamper, diaper storage, valance, and my most favorite thing of the whole bedding which isn't pictured is the mobile..It is SO SO cute! I will have to post a picture of it later.

I think this whole Gigi thing wore my mom out she couldn't keep her eyes open..ha! She is going to kill me because she had NO idea that I took this picture of her..but I couldn't help myself!!!! LOVE YOU MOM!!!
We had a great weekend but a few tears were shed when she left this morning..poor Jason hates when my mom leaves because he knows that I sit around and pout the rest of the day. The first thing he says is...yeah so I need to find a job in New Boston huh?? :) Well my summer days have come to an end and school starts for me bright and early in the morning. I am not the least bit worried though because of us already getting my room ready to go..so I am BEYOND blessed with a FABULOUS mom, HEALTHY sweet baby girl, AMAZING husband...and most of all a GOD who has provided me with all of these wonderful things!

17 Weeks

How far along: 17 Weeks

Size of baby: 5 inches and 5 ounces - the size of a turnip

Maternity Clothes: Regular dresses and some tops all other maternity clothes. I am getting very worried about my wardrobe for the upcoming school year. I think I have enough pants and shirts to get me through summer but once winter sets in it may be another story.

Gender: We find out tomorrow 100% as of now 80% boy...Jaxon Cash

Movement: Feeling a few butterflies and think it may be the baby. It's mostly in the morning time and when I am sitting down to eat dinner.

What I miss: Getting kind of hard to shave my legs..ha! Sleeping has gotten much better though.

Symptoms: My nose is still real stuffy but I think my allergies have picked up over the past few days so that hasn't helped any.

Cravings: Really haven't had any this week. Have not been as hungry as I have been so really just eating a lot of fruit.
