Calling Those Hogs and Baby Registry

Well we had a very exciting weekend around here. I slept in Saturday morning which is my most favorite thing to do now a days :) Jason was up and ready to head to Target to register for Baby Lyla..not because he was excited about registering but because we had to hurry and get back for the Arkansas game that came on at 2:30..ha! No, he was very patient with me and we got a lot done...He even picked out one thing for her...a thermometer that you can take their temperature across the forehead....I think this was his one mission thing to register for though after they used one on him when he had his elbow surgery, he was so amazed by it that is all he has been talking about.

I knew he was beginning to wear down on me once it got close to noon though and he remembered I had promised him if he was patient with me that we would head next door to buffalo wild wings and eat some lunch (and we did). I don't know if Lyla was excited because we had just registered for her some really neat stuff, all of the football that was going on, or the buffalo chicken ranch wrap I was eating, but she was going crazy when we got to BWW. Her daddy will say it was because of all of the football :)

Lyla started calling those Hogs bright and Early Saturday morning but....
Well needless to say our Hogs lost in the last 6 minutes of the game, but it was still a really good game and I enjoyed watching it while I surfed the web for some things I am putting on my wish list for Lyla that aren't at Target or Babies R Us.

Zeus doesn't like it when you are watching TV and not paying attention to him so he is sitting beside Jason pouting during the game...isn't he so cute :)
Here he is saying "Hello here I am.....

This morning we got up and went to church , I dropped Jason back off at the house and headed to Babies R Us to meet my friend Dee for another fun filled day of registering. Jason was out for this one because one it is was Sunday (football...football.....football) and I think he had his fill of scanning things yesterday. (Since I made him go back last night to add some more stuff that I had forgotten..ha) Dee and I went and ate some McAlisters (Yummy!!!) to get our energy up before entering baby world. We had a good time and although her two girls are older I was very thankful she went with me so that she could tell me what all I needed. She couldn't believe all of the stuff they have now that was no where in sight when her girls were growing up.

I then headed to the mall because my makeup container was on E and since my poor face looks like I am 16 again I can not go without that :) I tried looking for a dress for my showers that are coming up but I had no luck..I think I was so worn out though I was not in the mood. I have now been home working on homework and school stuff. I am about wiped out for the day, so instead of GTL like they do on Jersey Shore..my night consists of BSB..Bath/Snack/Bed :)

Hope you all had a great weekend and Jason is not so upset about his Hogs since the Colts won today and the Cowboys beat the Texans so that made him happy also!!!

23 weeks Down...17 Weeks to go!

How far long?
23 Weeks

Size of baby?
Large Mango...11.5 in and 1.1 lb

Gender
Sweet baby Girl!! Lyla Faith

Movement
She is still a girl on the move. She is more active at night when I lay down and then during the day around lunch.

Sleep
I have been sleeping okay, but I still feel exhausted when I get up in the mornings because of all of my crazy dreams. They are making me restless during the night and my brain doesn't get enough time to rest I am guessing.

Symptoms
I have had a really bad pain in my upper abdomen for about 2 weeks now. It started off ever so often and now it is ever single day. It doesn't hurt when I get home at lay down with an ice pack but that is the only relief I can get. During the day I just have to tough it out because no position sitting or standing helps. I think I have come to the conclusion that it is a muscle that has been stretched to its max and is the constant burning and aching because it is even tender to touch if you touch the outside of my belly. I am hoping nothing is seriously wrong, but I am pretty sure it is what I have diagnosed myself with because I called my doctor and they said I should be fine :)

What I miss
It is getting kind of hard to shave my legs and getting to wear clothes comfortably. I truly would rather wear cotton dresses every day but I don't have enough to last me...so we will see if I can catch some on sale in the next few weeks.

Cravings
Every afternoon for some reason I have been searching my room for some type of candy to eat, but I never find exactly what I want and I am scared if I go down the Halloween isle at Target it would end badly at the check out....So I am trying to avoid this craving.

What I look forward to
Going to register this weekend, my baby showers coming up, we scheduled a lamaze class (it should be interesting), and the day when we get to meet our sweet baby girl.

22 Weeks

How far along: 22 Weeks

Size of Baby:Papaya...8 inches and 1.2 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Yes, except for Friday's when I can wear my spirit shirts with jeans..I am making do with my regular t-shirts just wearing a long maternity tank underneath. I can still wear some shirts that aren't maternity, but I would rather just wear a comfy cotton dress, at all times :)

Gender: Sweet baby girl

Movement: Yes, she is a girl on the move.

Sleep: I didn't sleep well last week but I think it was because of my sinuses but this week I am back on track and sleeping well.

Symptoms: Swollen feet..my feet are crazy big by the end of the day I just can't wait to get home and prop them up or take a long soothing bath. I know by this winter I will be wearing flip flops because my feet will fit in nothing I own. Guess it is a good thing I live in Houston and we have no winter here..ha! Crazy dreams...Jason loves to her what crazy thing I dreamed the night before I think it may be the highlight or at least the biggest laugh of his day.

What I miss: Nothing at all....

Cravings: Everyone keeps asking me if I have had any cravings and I really have not. I have been going to sonic to get cups of ice every morning, but I think that is just to make myself drink more water everyday and of course I LOVE the ice there!

What I am looking forward to: January when my sweet little Lyla makes her entrance into this world. We are going to register next week and I am pretty excited about that also!!!

19 weeks to go means....

I am 21 Weeks Today!!!

This has been such a great week as far as sweet Lyla Faith goes. Me on the other hand, not so much..and it is only going to get crazier. Wouldn't be my life if it wasn't though..ha! I usually put most of it on myself because I can't stand sitting still or not having some task in front of me and I know that in these short 19 weeks it will no longer be about what I want so I better get myself in while I can.
Me: I have been so busy in my classroom and with my students that time is just flying by. The end of this week and most of next week I will be out of my classroom and at meetings. I love going to trainings but it is just so much work getting everything together for a sub, I stress more about that than I do with my own lessons because I feel I have to be so specific. I was out today at an AP meeting. My two AP's couldn't go so I got the pleasure of going and I was very excited and it ended up not disappointing because it was a lot of fun and informational. I am going to be out next Monday and Tuesday all day for our Safe and Civil training which I always LOVE LOVE LOVE! We learn so much at our trainings and have a good time as well. Then on Thursday morning I have a Math Focus training, but it is just half a day so that is good I can get back to my little kiddos and get busy with some Math Lessons :) On top of all of this I have had terrible allergies! I have not been sleeping well at all and dragging during the day as well..My sleep one night was lost to one sweet little girl though....
Lyla: She decided at 2:00 a.m. the other morning that she wanted to practice her moves for her one day gymnastics routine...She didn't stop those moves until around noon the following afternoon. I am not complaining though because it makes me feel so happy to know that she is in there growing big and strong so I wouldn't have it any other way! I just can't wait until Jason can feel what I am talking about, I think he things I am crazy sometimes because I ask her what she is doing in there and he runs over to put his hand on my belly and feels nothing :( I know it won't be long before that is a different story though. Time is passing by so fast and I can't believe that I only now have 19 weeks to go, before I know it I will be counting down by days.

Please say a prayer for us as we have to be up and out the door by 4:30 in the morning for Jason's surgery at 6. I am praying all goes well and he is home and back to normal before we know it...well as normal as my husband can be..ha! I know that all will be fine and the healing process will be quick.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. We will spend another one at home resting up :)

Halfway There and 2 Years later :)I am

I am halfway there.... today marks week 20 of little Lyla's life....It has been another crazy week but not as busy, thank goodness because I have not been able to hold my eyes open. I had a lazy weekend around the house and then Monday was here before I knew it. I went to work on Monday came home and slept from 5-7 got up long enough to eat and shower went back to bed and didn't wake up until my alarm on Tuesday morning. I was exhausted. My feet have done much better this week well they feel a little better not really looking looking that a way. I have limited amount of shoes I can wear and usually just wear my flip flops around my room until its time for lunch or end of the day (sometimes not even then). I scheduled my 3D sonogram this week and I am so excited about it, especially because it will be the weekend my mom is coming into town to to help paint the peanuts room and hopefully we can put the crib and all together then. It can't get here fast enough :)
Fat Feet :)

20 Weeks
Lyla Faith is the size of a mango and weighs 10 ounces and is 6.5 inches.
She must have really loved those waffles I ate the other night because I think she was doing somersaults in there when I laid down for bed :)
I am sleeping a little better just wake up a few times a night to rotate from my left to right or right to left. I wake up in the middle of the night freaking out though when my pillows have moved and I am on my back..yikes! I know everything will be fine though. My doctor told me that my feet were just in shock from having been laid up all summer and now going back to work they are having to adjust. I am hoping she is correct and they will go back to normal soon, or I will be wearing house shoes before long. I don't own a pair of crocs but I see some of those in my near future as well.

Another exciting event this week was mine and my "baby daddy's 2 year anniversary" ha! Bad thing was he had to work late Monday and Tuesday night so we didn't get to go to dinner or hang out until last night. I have been so exhausted though I am really not a lot of fun. He hasn't been either because his elbow has been hurting him really bad so we scheduled his surgery for next Friday. I am praying that everything goes well and he is back to work soon after. It is just a 15 minute procedure but doctors and surgeries always make me SO nervous.
This was us two years back on August 30, 2008 My grandparents celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary Monday as well! It is a very special day for me.

I am so ready for this three day weekend and another three days just to really lay around and do nothing again. I have a scentsy party tomorrow night though and am excited to get some new scents because Jason hates my vanilla one I have now..I want something more fruity too. Hope everyone has a fabulous three day weekend, and a safe one for sure.
